LoveinRoom

Cancellation policy

This page sets out, in plain terms, the cancellation rules applicable to bookings made on Love in Room. In the event of any contradiction, the booking terms and conditions applicable to your booking prevail.

Four policies, chosen by the host

Each listing carries one cancellation policy, chosen by the host from the four below. It is displayed before you send your request.

Periods are counted from the scheduled arrival date and time. Thresholds are inclusive: a cancellation occurring exactly at the threshold falls within the tier most favourable to the traveller.

Extras

Extras paid online are refunded in full (100%) if you cancel, whatever the applicable policy and whenever the cancellation occurs.

The only exception is a no-show, below.

No-show

If you do not arrive on the agreed arrival date without having cancelled, no sum is refunded:

Stay0%
Extras paid online0%

Cancellation by the host

If the host cancels a confirmed booking, all sums paid are refunded to you — 100% of the stay and 100% of extras — whatever the applicable policy and whenever the cancellation occurs.

The policy is locked in at confirmation

The policy applicable to your booking, and its version, are locked in at the moment the host confirms your request.

If the host later changes its choice, or if Love in Room changes the catalogue of policies, that has no effect on your booking.

The exact deadlines that apply to you — in particular the date until which you can cancel free of charge — are shown on your booking page.

How you are refunded

Card payment already charged

The sum due is refunded to the card used for payment. The time taken for the funds to become available depends on your bank.

Deferred payment, not yet charged

Where no charge has yet been made, the refund takes the form of the extinction of the payment obligation to the extent of the portion no longer due.

In other words: there is nothing to refund, since nothing was charged. If a portion remains due under the applicable policy, it remains payable.

Mixed payment — gift card and bank card

Each portion is refunded to its origin:

Love in Room gift cardthe gift card

The portion paid with a gift card is never refunded in cash, by bank transfer or to a bank card. Crediting back does not extend the card's validity period.
