1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to the loveinroom.fr site and its services (the “platform”), and their use by anyone who connects to it (the “user”).
Accessing the platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. Publisher and nature of the service
The platform is published and operated by Nicolas Lipowiez, sole trader, whose details are set out in the legal notice.
Love in Room is an online booking platform for romantic and unusual accommodation. It acts as a platform operator and intermediary between travellers and hosts.
Love in Room is neither the provider of the accommodation, nor the operator of the establishments listed, nor a party to the accommodation contracts entered into between travellers and hosts.
3. Access to the platform
Access is free for browsing. Connection and equipment costs remain the user's responsibility.
Some features require creating an account or subscribing to a paid offer.
Love in Room may develop, suspend or discontinue all or part of the platform, in particular for maintenance, updates, security requirements or legal obligations.
4. Accounts
Creating an account requires providing accurate, truthful and up-to-date information, and keeping it so.
Credentials are personal and confidential. The user is responsible for keeping them safe and for any use made from their account. They must inform Love in Room without delay of any unauthorised use.
An account may not be created on behalf of a third party without authority to do so. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is prohibited.
The user may request deletion of their account from their account area or at [email protected], subject to statutory retention obligations and ongoing bookings.
5. User conduct
The user undertakes to use the platform in accordance with the law, these Terms and its intended purpose.
In particular, the user must not:
- publish content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, insulting, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringes privacy or an intellectual property right;
- publish pornographic content, or content undermining human dignity;
- publish content involving a minor in an inappropriate context;
- impersonate a third party;
- provide false information, in particular about a listing, a price, availability or an identity;
- impair the operation of the platform, in particular through mass automated extraction, circumvention of technical measures, introduction of malicious code or attempted unauthorised access;
- re-use platform content for commercial purposes without written authorisation;
- bypass the platform to conclude, outside it, a booking initiated on it;
- use contact details obtained via the platform for unsolicited prospecting.
6. User-published content
Content published by users, in particular host listings and reviews, is the responsibility of its authors.
A user publishing content warrants that they hold the necessary rights and grants Love in Room, for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform, a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, adapt the format of and translate it, for the duration of publication.
7. Love in Room's intellectual property
The platform, its structure, navigation, interfaces, databases, editorial texts, graphic elements, visual identity and brand are protected and remain the exclusive property of Love in Room or its rights holders.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any right. Any reproduction, representation, extraction or re-use, in whole or in substantial part, without prior written authorisation, is prohibited.
The trademarks, logos and distinctive signs of hosts and third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Reviews
Reviews displayed on the platform come from two sources, distinguished publicly:
- reviews left by travellers who have stayed following a booking made on the platform, whose stay is verified by Love in Room;
- reviews imported by the host from another platform, whose origin is indicated. Love in Room does not verify their authenticity and does not control the conditions in which they were collected.
Love in Room may subject reviews to moderation, before or after publication, in order to enforce its publication rules and applicable legal obligations. Only published reviews count towards the displayed rating.
Love in Room neither publishes nor removes a review in exchange for payment.
Authenticity checks. In accordance with Article L.111-7-2 of the French Consumer Code, Love in Room specifies how reviews are checked: for a review left by a traveller, Love in Room verifies that a corresponding booking was made on the platform; for a review imported by the host, no authenticity check is carried out and the origin of the review is indicated. Reviews are not given in exchange for consideration and are not ranked on the basis of payment.
The host has a right of reply, published below the review.
A review may be refused or removed if it is manifestly unlawful, unrelated to the stay, identifies a person, or where there are serious grounds to suspect it is not genuine. The author is informed of the reason for refusal.
9. Reporting content
Anyone may report content they consider unlawful to [email protected], or using the reporting form available from listings.
To be handled effectively, a report should state: the exact address of the content, the reasons why it is considered unlawful, the identity and contact details of the reporter (except for the offences referred to in Article 16(5) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), and a statement of good faith as to the accuracy of the information.
Love in Room acknowledges receipt of the report, handles it in a timely, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and informs the reporter of the decision taken and of the redress available.
10. Moderation
Where content is manifestly unlawful, contrary to these Terms, or dangerous for users, Love in Room may:
- remove it or disable access to it;
- demote it or restrict its visibility;
- suspend the ability to publish further content;
- suspend or close the account concerned.
Any restriction decision is explained to the user concerned, in accordance with Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, except where the content is high-volume deceptive content or where a legal obligation prevents it.
For as long as it meets the criteria of a micro or small enterprise within the meaning of Recommendation 2003/361/EC, Love in Room benefits from the exemptions provided for in Articles 19 and 29 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, without prejudice to the provisions of that regulation which continue to apply to it.
The user remains free to contest a decision at [email protected] and to bring the matter before the competent court.
Love in Room is not subject to a general obligation to monitor the content it hosts.
11. Technical limitations
Love in Room endeavours to keep the platform accessible, without being bound to do so continuously.
The user acknowledges that the platform depends on third-party networks and services, and that interruptions, slowdowns, data loss or anomalies may occur. It is for the user to protect their equipment and data.
12. External links
The platform may link to third-party sites, over which Love in Room exercises no control and for whose content or practices it accepts no responsibility.
Love in Room uses no affiliate tracking on its outbound links.
13. Fraud and security
Any attempted fraud, impersonation, misuse of a payment method, unauthorised access or alteration of the platform may lead to immediate suspension of the account, reporting to the competent authorities and any appropriate action.
Love in Room implements technical protection measures, in particular against bots and automated submissions. These measures are described in our cookie policy.
14. Suspension and closure
Love in Room may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraud, risk to users or to the platform, or in performance of a legal obligation.
The measure is explained to the user, except in an emergency or where a legal obligation provides otherwise, in which case reasons are given as promptly as possible.
The suspension and termination conditions specific to hosts are set out in Article 18 of the terms and conditions of sale and prevail over this article in respect of them.
15. Liability
Love in Room is answerable for its own obligations as a platform operator, on a best-efforts basis.
Love in Room is not liable for content published by users, information provided by hosts, performance of stays, relationships formed between users, technical interruptions, failures of networks or third-party providers, or events of force majeure or beyond its reasonable control.
These limitations do not apply in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by Love in Room, where a mandatory legal provision prevents it, or in respect of consumer rights that cannot be waived.
The user is answerable for the consequences of their breaches of these Terms.

Personal data processing is described in our privacy policy, and trackers in our cookie policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
Love in Room may amend these Terms. The applicable version is the one online at the time of access. Substantial changes affecting hosts are notified in accordance with Article 19 of the terms and conditions of sale.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law.
Protective provisions of the law of the consumer's country of habitual residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement continue to apply.
Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall to the courts having jurisdiction under the ordinary rules. Consumers may use consumer mediation free of charge under the conditions of Article 32 of the booking terms and conditions.
